Security Operations Job Opportunity

Bridge Financial Technology is seeking a professional, skilled and experienced Security Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team and growing organization. In this role you’ll be tasked with creating, enhancing and maintaining the highest standards in data protection and compliance. Bridge is a leader in the financial technology space, offering a developer-friendly API, building on cutting-edge cloud infrastructure technologies and delivering a rich user experience through a wide array of features, analytical information and integrations with other software systems.

In this role you'll be developing and improving our security posture, data standards and maintaining compliance with frameworks such as SOC and ISO. You will be crucial in ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Bridge’s information systems. You will work with product developers, data scientists and infrastructure engineers to keep our backend data ingestion architecture secure and resilient. You will also work with application and API developers to understand, minimize and protect the external attack surface of the organization.

Key Responsibilities of the Security Operations Engineer

• Maintain Bridge’s current compliance standards, bringing a thorough understanding of SOC compliance frameworks, with a focus on SOC Type 1 and Type 2 audits.
• Develop and maintain a robust security posture for our AWS infrastructure, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and enforce IT controls.
• Implement and manage monitoring solutions for application logs, CloudTrail audit logs, and other relevant data sources.
• Evaluate and recommend new security tools and technologies that align with our enterprise maturity plan.
• Understand and integrate with available AWS services to help application developers and data engineers build out architecture with stated goals.

Key characteristics and skills for success in this role

• Demonstrate proficiency in incident response, including the ability to analyze, contain, and eradicate security incidents.
• Experience in guiding and implementing security controls aligned with SOC requirements.
• Familiarity with a variety of security tools and technologies, such as SIEM solutions, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability management tools.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Strong problem solving skills
• Enjoys learning new problems and skills
• Ability to work collaboratively, while also being confident enough to lead projects independently with minimal oversight

Job Requirements

• B.S. degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical discipline within a STEM field (science, technology, engineering and mathematics)
• Background or familiarity with Go, Python, SQL is considered a plus
• Experience with the Cloud Development Kit (CDK) in a strong plus
